Hey Everyone! We've got our very own Facebook page and we want to personally invite you to become a fan. Okay…so you probably get a million fan requests a week, and you never thought you'd be adding an insurance agency to that list. So we're going to give you a little extra encouragement.

You know, sometimes it's easy to forget about the people who protect us and our country. After all, the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq have been going on for a decade. It all seems so far away. And with the economy the way it is, well…let's just say you've got a lot on your mind.
But our troops (active and reserve) still need your help. And right now, just by becoming a fan, we'll let you in on all the cool contests we're holding, PLUS, you'll be making a difference for our troops and their families.
What does becoming a fan mean?
When you "Like" us on Facebook, we will donate $1 to a local Family Readiness Program. Every Army unit has a Family Readiness Program (made up of volunteers) who help support soldiers and their families.
But they need contributions so they can: provide resources for struggling families, send care packages to soldiers who are deployed, keep in contact with the families of deployed soldiers, plan family days to boost the morale of troops and their family members, etc.
Your "friendship" (and our donation of $1) will help them do that.
You see, some of our troops, like others in the country, are struggling just to make ends meet. Here are the stories of a few soldiers the Family Readiness Program is helping:
- A single mother (and Army Reserve Soldier) with a two year old son had her hours at work reduced to just 5 per week.
- A Reserve Soldier was found collecting tin cans from the garbage in order to collect a little extra cash each month.
- One pregnant woman (and Army Reserve Solider) had her car impounded. It took a month for her to earn the $450 to get it out. She now has her car back and a brand new baby!
- After several months without work, a Reserve Soldier finally accepted help getting food. The volunteers at the Family Readiness Program discovered he was homeless but had never told anyone.
These are just some examples of what our soldiers are coping with. And yet, they always show up for duty on time and in uniform.
We know times are tough. So we're not asking you to make a donation. We're simply offering to do it on your behalf. "Like" us, and we'll make a contribution. Sounds like an easy enough trade, right?
